After using them as steps for a while they deformed the car body sheet metal they are mounted to in such a way that the rails started to sag a little bit. Also they got pretty rusty after only 2 years.

It would do it all by itself and it sounded like it was going to explode! When it first happened the check engine light came on so I close so I drove right to the dealership and showed the Service Manager.

After about a month of having my vehicle, my car started stopping in the middle of the road with no warning. This is an intermittent issue so you may think your vehicle is fine, until it’s not.
